Abstract
Along with other medications, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are traditionally and most often used for pain in the lower back, which provide both anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. However, the use of these drugs is associated with the possible development of a sufficiently large range of adverse events. In addition, there is an extensive list of co- and multimorbid diseases and conditions that are absolute or relative contraindications to prescribing drugs of this group, and from this point of view, the patient's comorbidity is the main criterion for prescribing NSAIDs and choosing a specific drug.
Due to the facts listed above, the medical community is looking for ways to improve the effectiveness and safety of therapy for patients with back pain.
