Abstract
The article describes an unprecedented clinical case combining two rare diseases: Reed's syndrome (multiple leiomyomas) and Brocq's pseudopelade. The main aspects of classification, clinical presentation, and diagnostic methods of these conditions are discussed, along with the nuances of differential diagnosis based on histology and trichoscopy (dermatoscopy) results. The presented case demonstrates an incredibly wide variability in the association of different dermatological diseases and emphasizes the importance of careful attention and an individualized approach to patients.
Keywords: Reed's syndrome, leiomyoma, piloleiomyoma, Brocq's pseudopelade, scarring alopecia, smooth muscle tumor of the skin.
