Abstract

This article describes a clinical case of a patient with chronic viral hepatitis C and concomitant rheumatoid arthritis. The work is based on the study of the medical record of the patient with the diagnosis of "Chronic viral hepatitis C, genotype 1b" and the analysis of the course of the disease against the background of 12-week antiviral therapy, which led to the achievement of a sustainable viral response. As a result of the study of the presented clinical case, it can be concluded that, due to the similarity of symptoms, it is necessary to conduct a thorough differential diagnosis to distinguish between the debut of rheumatic disease and extrahepatic manifestations of HCV. The use of interferon drugs is limited in this category of patients due to side effects and poor tolerability, so pangenotypic therapy with Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir has proven its effectiveness and safety in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and chronic viral hepatitis C.
Keywords: autoimmune diseases, chronic hepatitis C, rheumatoid arthritis, pangenotypic therapy.
