Abstract

Chronic heart failure (CHF) is one of the actively developed problems of modern cardiology. The presence of atrial fibrillation (AF) leads to an increased likelihood of death. For patients with CHF resistant to optimal drug therapy on the background of AF, the implantation of а heart rate modulation device is one of the promising treatment methods that increase life expectancy and quality of life. New generations of devices have appeared that allow implanting 2 ventricular electrodes without atrial detection. However, this treatment method requires further research to assess safety and complication rates, including in the presence of AF. The article presents a clinical case of CHF of ischemic origin with reduced ejection fraction and AF with the implantation of a device for heart rate modulation, and an assessment of its effectiveness is given.
Keywords: chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, atrial fibrillation, heart rate modulation.
