Parental substance use: impact on children, deprivation of parental rights, and medical solutions

Abstract

The article reviews the results of studies on the impact of psychoactive substance use on parenting skills and children's well-being, and analyzes the experience of using interventions in various countries, including Russia. It outlines the approaches that have proven to be most effective in working with family-distressed patients with substance abuse and highlights the factors that contribute to the successful treatment of drug addiction and the preservation of family ties.
