Effectiveness of fertility restoration methods in women with polycystic ovary syndrome

Abstract

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the leading causes of endocrine infertility. This study evaluated the effectiveness of conservative, surgical, and combined treatment approaches for restoring reproductive function in women with PCOS.

Aim. To evaluate the effectiveness of various fertility restoration methods in patients with PCOS.

Materials and methods. A prospective study included 70 women with PCOS-associated infertility and 20 healthy controls. Patients were divided into three subgroups based on treatment approach. Clinical, hormonal, metabolic, and ultrasound parameters were analyzed.

Conclusion. Combined conservative and surgical treatment provided more stable and long-term fertility restoration compared to isolated surgical intervention.
